Deep Dive: Examining the changes to the IB History curriculum

This workshop will familiarize participants with the new curriculum that incudes a comparison to the curriculum that will end in 2027. Content and assessment for first exams 2028 will be addressed and participants will have the opportunity to review the new guide and work collaboratively on developing a scheme of work and breaking down the new assessment model. Participants should be registered on the IB’s Programme Resource Centre so they can fully explore what is available as Teacher Support Material for the new curriculum.

About Our Instructor

For over 30 years Alexis Mamaux has taught at UWC USA in Montezuma, New Mexico, teaching IB History SL and HL: Europe; HL: Asia and the Pacific; and HL: Americas. She is a longtime workshop leader and has been the coauthor of a number of IB History Course Companions published by Oxford University Press.
